Fenix Youth Project needs local help fundraising for drop-in center

SALISBURY, Md.- A local non-profit is starting a new initiative to help raise money.

Fenix Youth Project Inc. encourages personal development in youth through creative arts.

This program has an Arts and Media Drop-In Center, which they need help fundraising for.

To make that happen, they will be launching a new youth-led initiative.

For a monthly donation, artists between the ages of 13 to 14 will be given access to their Digital Arts & Music Studio.

The Drop-In center Coordinator told this not only gives the youth something the look forward to, but will also help the center grow.

“By doing something that one brings them joy and helps them release stress,” Kiaira Dashiell, Drop-In Center Coordinator, said. “We are trying to expand so we can have a bigger space with more youth and that will be the start of helping expansion and to get more equipment inside the studio.”

We are also told this new initiative will be great for the youth who have a creative bone in their body and need a place to show their skills.

The non-profit is looking for volunteers they said for more information you can email volunteer@fenixyouthproject.org.
