Briggs’ overtime goal lifts Clippers past Decatur

SALISBURY, Md. – Bennett girls soccer defeated Decatur, 1-0, in overtime Tuesday afternoon to stay undefeated on the season.

Both defenses were stellar throughout regulation. Jessica Beck was a standout in net for the Seahawks, turning away a number of scoring chances for Bennett in the second half.

Clippers sophomore forward Ella Briggs chased down a pass from Regan Ains between two Decatur defenders in the early minutes of overtime, and sent it into the netting for the game-winning goal. Bennett moves to 4-0 with the victory.
