MAC Center For Aging To Require Masking for Staff, Volunteers

SALISBURY, MD- The MAC Center for Aging is announcing that masks will be required of staff and volunteers starting Monday.

MAC Center Spokeswoman Donna Smith Told 47ABCits to make sure that the seniors who rely on them for workouts, counseling, and even dementia therapy- can continue coming in without fear of the Delta Variant.
“Starting Monday all staff regardless of vaccination status and all volunteers regardless of vaccination status must wear a mask, any visitor to the building will not be required but strongly encouraged to wear a mask,” she said.
Smith told 47ABC that many of the seniors at the center had already been wearing masks during activities when there was no mandate in place.
MAC center workers will also be required to be vaccinated or submit to weekly covid testing by mid-September.
That’s part of President Joe Biden’s mandate for federal workers and as federal contractors, MAC workers are considered part of that decision.
