Snow Hill brings back first Friday event just in time for the holiday weekend

SNOW HILL, Md. – The annual July first Friday event was cancelled last year due to the pandemic, but on Friday the town welcomed it back.

The town tells us, seeing people together again especially for a holiday weekend is something a lot of people have been hoping for. Snow hill partnered with numerous organizations to put on the event. We’re told it’s actually one of the town’s largest events, and those with spoke with say, they were excited to bring this back.

There was a DJ, food, games, vendors, and family fun for everyone. Those with the town say, it was definitely a great way to kick off the holiday weekend. “We’re such a small close knit community and it’s such a staple to get out and be with our community, with our neighbors, so this is very big for our community and the way we live here,” says Jere Johnson, communications and marketing manager for the town of Snow Hill.

We’re also told they have other partnerships in the works to continue creating fun filled events throughout the summer to continue attracting people to the town, and give the community something to celebrate.
