Dover man facing multiple charges for early morning robbery
DOVER, Del. – Dover Police arrested 49-year-old Timothy Jarvis of Dover on multiple charges after a robbery early Monday morning. Police say around 4:56 a.m. a 58-year-old Brooklyn, N.Y. woman was in the parking lot of a 7 Eleven on North DuPont Highway. That’s when police say Jarvis showed the woman a handgun and demanded that she throw her cell phone under a nearby car. Police say Jarvis then demanded cash from the victim, and she gave him some.
Jarvis then fled on a bicycle in a southbound direction, according to police. Police say, with a description on hand, they searched the area and found Jarvis in the area of North DuPont Highway, south of Townsend Boulevard. Jarvis was arrested without incident, and taken to Sussex Correctional Institution on $65,000 cash bond. Police say Jarvis is now facing charges including 1st degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, illegal possession of a firearm, and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
