Felton man and girlfriend arrested in connection to numerous burglaries, thefts
KENT CO., Del. – Delaware State Police have arrested a Felton man and his girlfriend on multiple criminal charges following an investigation into numerous burglaries and thefts that took place in Kent County.
In March, police began investigating numerous burglaries and thefts to residences and sheds in the Felton/Harrington area. At the same time, several vehicles were reported stolen near the incidents.
Detectives established 33-year-old Stephen Lemmons as a suspect in these incidents. On May 7th, troopers received information regarding a Corvette that was reported stolen just days prior, as well as a possible location for the vehicle. Troopers responded to a property in Hartly where they found the vehicle with Lemmons and his girlfriend, Shannon Keen, exiting the car. The pair were subsequently taken into custody for further investigation.
Also on the property was a Chevrolet Suburban and small landscaping trailer reported stolen on April 13th. An inventory search was conducted on the Corvette, leading police to find approximately .287 grams of heroin.
Lemmons was committed to SCI on a list of charges, including multiple counts each of theft, burglary, attempted burglary, trespassing, and drug possession. His bond was set at $36,005 secured.
27-year-old Shannon Keen was held at Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on charges of third degree burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, theft under $1500, second and third degree conspiracy, and several other charges.
