Dover homicide suspect arrested in New York

DOVER, Del. – Police say the man wanted for shooting and killing a Dover man last month has been arrested in New York.

22-year-old Riley Braswell was arrested in Brooklyn, NY, on Monday by the U.S. Marshals Service 1st State Fugitive Task Force with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service Eastern District. He was arrested in connection to the April 12th shooting death of 19-year-old Dazhmier Brooks.

We’re told Braswell was in possession of a 9mm handgun at the time of his arrest. He is currently being held in New York pending extradition to Delaware on charges of first degree murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, and tampering with evidence.
