DOVER, Del. – Delaware State University announced they will require students and employees to have proof of vaccination before they return to campus in the August for the Fall semester. University officials said the only exception will be students and employees with approved medical or religious exemptions.

The University’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Michelle Fisher, said that many students have already been vaccinated, or at least have had their first dose.

In a community forum, University President Tony Allen said the vaccination requirement will allow the school to open up more spaces and eventually return to normal.
