TidalHealth provider honored with Daisy Award

SALISBURY, Md. – A TidalHealth primary care provider was recently honored with a Daisy Award for his compassion and care to a patient who was passing away from COVID-19.

We’re told the family of the patient, who was on comfort care, chose not to come see him at the end of his life, but they asked to play music for him. Some of the nurses did just that, but Jordan Braniff took it a step further. A colleague of Jordan’s said he saw him gown up and go into the patient’s room that night and sit and talk with the patient for over an hour, so he would not pass away alone. The colleague says Jordan told him he came in as soon as he got the alert the patient was dying because he wanted to be with him.
