Lake rolls past Delmar to end their four game losing skid

FELTON, Del.- Just two days after falling to Dover in they final sixteen seconds, the Lake Forest Spartans defeated Delmar 16-5 to move to 3-5 on the season ending their four game losing streak. The loss drops the Wildcats to 2-6 on the year, their only two wins coming against Woodbridge.

The Spartans came into tonights matchup with Delmar just two days removed from a, 11-10 loss to Dover, Lake got off a few shots in the final seconds to tie but were unable to find the back of the net. Today, the guys from Felton came out firing. A 3-0 lead to end the first quarter turned into a 5-0 lead midway through the second. The Wildcats were able to get on the board but still trailed by three, 6-3 at the break.

In the third, Lake exploded for 7 goals to take the 13-3 lead headed to the fourth. Delmar did get two goals in the final twelve minutes but the Spartans added three goals as Lake Forest took down Delmar 16-5.

Lake returns to the field next Wednesday when they host Woodbridge at 5 pm, Delmar will look to get back in the win column when they host undefeated Sussex Academy also next Wednesday at 4 pm.
