Wicomico Co. teacher recognized at state level for music program

MARDELA SPRINGS, Md. – A teacher in Wicomico County is being recognized at the state level for helping to build an incredible music program for her schools and communities.

On Monday, Mardela Middle and High School posted that their principal, Liza Hastings, was selected to receive the Maryland Music Educators’ Association’s 2021 Outstanding School Administrator Award. One of the people who wrote a recommendation for Hastings says she encourages her students and staff to grow and push for excellence in their practice.
