Local congregations coming together for COVID-19 town hall Sunday

MARYLAND- Sunday, The Watchmen With One Voice Ministerial Alliance is hosting a virtual town hall meeting about the COVID-19 vaccine.

This group made up of pastors from different local congregations is hosting this meeting with healthcare workers.

Some are sharing their experiences of having COVID-19.

They will also be answering frequently asked questions about the vaccine.

We are told by one of the pastors that they want to encourage the community to get vaccinated.

He added that he knows there’s a lot of myths about the vaccine and they want to get rid of those.

“I know about the Tuskegee situation but this is not an experiment, this is something that credible doctors are endorsing, mainly persons with the CDC,” Pastor Lewis N. Watson, of First Baptist Church of Salisbury, said.

The town hall will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday.

You can join by going on the First Baptist Church of Salisbury’s Facebook Page.
