New entertainment venue coming to downtown Salisbury
SALISBURY, Md. – City Center in downtown Salisbury will soon be home to a brand new arts and entertainment venue. Developers are in the process of building Revival, a space designed for the performing arts. “Our big dream for the space in Salisbury is to bring live art and music in a bigger scale than Salisbury is used to. I feel like there’s a lack of entertainment in Salisbury,” said Revival General Manager Mangus Steed.
Steed tells 47ABC the space will be complete with a stage, a rotating menu of food, and a bar.
He says he hopes to breathe new life in the arts community with the space by hosting all different kinds of shows, like live music or comedy. “It’s going to be a little more toned down than the Milton Theatre, but we’re still going to have the same production quality and space where everyone can have fun,” said Steed.
Revival is owned under Premier Center for the Arts Productions, which also operates the Milton Theatre. So, Steed says folks can catch some of the same shows in Salisbury as they would over in Delaware. He says that could strengthen the local arts community even more. “This town, especially from the way it’s going, has a lot of room to grow. I love that we’re being a part of that, especially with everything getting bigger here. I see very good potential in Salisbury,” said Steed.
Steed tells 47ABC the opening date is expected to be some time in the spring of 2021. You can find information and updates about the venue here.
