Bundle Up and Get Out initiative having a great response at Salisbury City Park

SALISBURY, Md.- Saturday people came out to the Salisbury City Park to enjoy the sunshine and the second to last weekend of the Bundle Up and Get Out initiative.

The Initiative hosted by the Wicomico Environmental Trust and the City of Salisbury, started in January, to get residents active during these winter months.

Art installations were created by local artists and were placed along a path.

Among the art installations, you can find a Bull,  that was made to honor a Salisbury Police officer who passed away a couple of years ago.

We are told the four week program has had a great response and their mission to get people outside has been accomplished.

“A lot of people have told us that this something that we needed for awhile, and I think it’s interesting that COVID is what caused this to happen but in some ways I feel like we almost solved how to do stuff with COVID,” Dan O’Hare, President of Wicomico Environment Trust, said.

We are told that they are handing out blue flowers to people to put on the Bull art piece.

If you still haven’t gotten a chance to see the art installations, next weekend will be your final weekend to do so.
