Today’s Forecast: January 29, 2021
** Winter Storm Watch in effect for Wicomico, Dorchester, and areas north and west Sunday – Monday. **
Temperatures are expected to plummet into the upper teens and lower 20s tonight under mostly clear skies.
Saturday will be mostly sunny and cold with highs in the mid 30s. Sunday will be cloudy as a winter storm approaches. Snow is expected to start late in the morning and continue through most of the day. The snow will gradually change over to rain during the evening and overnight hours as slightly milder air moves in. Total snow accumulation of 1-4 inches expected before the changeover to rain. Heavier snowfall amounts are possible across northern Delmarva where the snow will linger longer.
A rain/snow mix is likely for Dover, while the rest of Delmarva experiences mostly rain on Monday. Temperatures will climb into the low and mid 40s with breezy conditions. The rain may switch back to snow late Monday as the storm begins to push east and colder air moves back in. The sky will stay mostly cloudy on Tuesday with morning snow showers. Highs will be cooler in the upper 30s. Stay tuned throughout the weekend for the latest updates on this storm.
Mostly sunny skies take over on Wednesday and Thursday, with temperatures in the upper 30s on Wednesday and mid 40s on Thursday.
Have a great weekend!
