Dover coasts past Milford for thier second win of the season
MILFORD, Del.- Behind a combined 28 points from Jaheim Harrell and Cam Moore, the Dover Senators defeated Milford 59-46 to move to 2-1 on the season. The loss drops Milford to 0-3 to start the year.
Coming off tough losses of Friday, Dover to CR and a one point loss to Central for Milford, both teams were hungry to get back in the win column. Dover came out firing, taking a 15-10 lead after the first quarter. Just like last week, Dover made a few mistakes in the second quarter, allowing Milford to cut into their lead. Midway through the second quarter, an Ethan Wilkins lay up gave Milford their first lead since the games opening basket. After a Dover timeout, the Senators focused up and retook a four point lead headed into the break.
Dover kept their foot on the gas pedal opening up the second half on an 8-2 run to expand their lead to ten, they led by as many as fifteen in the second half. With a 47-38 lead to end the third, Dover outscored Milford 12-8 in the fourth to win it 59-46.
The Senators return to the court when they host Sussex Tech this Friday at 7, Milford will look to get their first win of the season travel to Camden to take on Caesar Rodney this Friday at 7
