Cape downs Riders, remains unbeaten

LEWES, Del. – Cape Henlopen downed Caesar Rodney, 50-29, Tuesday evening, moving to 3-0 on the season.

The Vikings opened up a 13-point margin in the second quarter with a 9-1 run. Caesar Rodney never got closer than seven points behind the rest of the game.

Cape Henlopen’s active defense kept the Riders on their heels all night long. Three players finished with at least four steals – Morgan Mahoney (4), Ella Rishko (5), and Julia Saleur (4).

Mehkia Applewhite led the Vikings with 17 points, while Mahoney and Saleur contributed 10 each. Stacey Deputy led Caesar Rodney with 17.
