Local organizations distribute hundreds of free toys to children in need

SEAFORD, Del. – The Seaford community is making sure no child goes without a Christmas gift this year.

On Sunday, several local organizations teamed up to distribute hundreds of free toys to families. The event was hosted by One Way Insurance Group with Harryson Domercant, Miller Imaging, and the group Si Podemos.

Event organizers say people also got the chance to take a holiday family photo. They say they want to make sure families in need feel supported during these difficult times.

“With 2020 and COVID we want to make sure that as much kids as much families as we can help we want to be able to help them,” said event organizer Gertha Jean.

“It’s hard times right now and we’ve been through it. We grew up and it was tough and doing something like this we say we were able to, capable to do something like this so we said why not?” said Tito Vazquez, from the group Si Podemos.

Event organizers add they pulled their own resources together to buy the presents and wrap them to be a blessing to the community.
