‘It breaks my heart’: Local Delaware family mobilizes to help Hurricane Eta victims

SUSSEX COUNTY, Del. – A Sussex County resident and her family are stepping up to the plate to help people in Honduras and Guatemala after their homes were flooded during Hurricane Eta, but they need your help.

Reyna Valladares from Honduras says many people are sleeping on the streets without any food because of the storm.

That’s why she’s asking the public to help raise money to buy things like clothes, stoves, and other essentials. With the help of The Voice Radio Network, they’ve set up a GoFundMe page to raise at least 20,000 dollars.

“It breaks my heart seeing the elderly, the kids sleeping in the ground, on the streets,” said Valladares.
