Dover Police investigating after 19-year-old shot in leg

DOVER, Del. – The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting of a 19-year-old man on Friday night.

Police say they responded to the area of Manchester Square around 10:13 PM for reports of a shooting. When they arrived, the victim was found inside of a home with a gunshot wound to the thigh. Officers performed first aid on the victim until EMS personnel arrived and brought him to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital. The victim was later airlifted to Christiana Hospital and is currently in stable condition.
