Dover field hockey dominates Milford behind a Chelsea Johnson hat trick
MILFORD, Del.- Behind a Chelsea Johnson hat trick, the Dover Senators defeated Milford 5-0 to move to 9-2 on the season. The loss drops the Buccaneers to 6-4-1.
Dover got the scoring started early with a Chelsea Johnson goal just two minutes in. Johnson went for a game high three goals in this one along with two assists. Fellow seniors Regan Torbert and Erin Bishop pitched in a goal each in the second half. Keeper Richana Brown saved a game high eleven shots in the cage.
The Bucs had many opportunities to get on the boars, drawing 14 corners and getting off 11 shots. Their two keepers, Eve Sekscinski and Melissa Mesidor combined for six saves.
Dover returns to the field when they travel to Greenwood to take on Woodbridge tomorrow, the Bucs finish their regular season campaign next Monday when they travel to Georgetown to play Sussex Central.
