Wicomico County Public Schools says no shut down planned for now

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – As other local school districts shut down their buildings, Wicomico County Public Schools says they’re still moving forward with some in person classes..

The Wicomico County Health Department tells 47ABC that right now the positivity rate in the county is 4.33%. Wicomico County Public Schools says that right now there are no plans to move back to an all virtual learning model. The school district says that they’re continuing to follow cleaning and sanitization protocols.

However, Wicomico County Public Schools says they will do whatever is necessary to keep staff and students safe and healthy. So if that means moving to all virtual learning at some point in the future, that’s what the school district says they’ll do.
