Loan fund available for Delaware non profits

DELAWARE – Non profits in Delaware can now apply for an assistance loan thanks to the National Council on Agricultural Life and Labor. The loan fund has $557 million in it. Non profits who help with issues like housing and other community assistance programs.

 The fund was set up to help those non profits get through the COVID-19 pandemic, as many are hurting financially. NCALL says that it can also help set them up to have a more successful future. “We work with them. We provide technical assistance if that’s needed. Or how you do a capital funding campaign. Those kind of things so that we can get them a good loan. We’re investing in the community. That’s the whole purpose,” said Executive Director Karen Speakerman.

Aside from helping non profits, NCALL says they hope that the loan fund will help communities to come out of the pandemic stronger.
