Hardee’s of Delmarva chips in to Delmarva Delivers Food Drive
SALISBURY, Md. – 47ABC is teaming up with local food banks to collect and distribute food to those in need for the Delmarva Delivers Food Drive. One of our sponsors is Hardee’s of Delmarva. You can stop by a Hardee’s and ask to purchase a special meal voucher for $5. That will then go toward a cheeseburger combo meal that will be donated to the food drive.
Chief Operating Officer of OTAC Hardees Franchises Mike Cato says that giving back to the community is simply the right thing to do. He adds that they are always looking for ways to get involved and give back. “In times like this there’s really no separation between community and business. We’re all one community and one people. We can’t survive without each other. It’s just honestly the right thing to do. It’s important to us because we’re good people. We believe in people, and we just want to help,” said Cato.
If you’d like to help out in another way, 47ABC is holding a donation event this Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at two locations. 47ABC’s Julian Sadur will be helping at Shorebird Stadium in Salisbury. Meanwhile, Chief Meteorologist Daniel Johnson will be at Laurel Junction in Laurel Delaware. Simply drive up and a volunteer will take any donations from your car.
