Bryan Allen Stevenson School of Excellence hosting drive-in movie fundraiser

LEWES, Del. – If you don’t have plans for next Tuesday night, the Bryan Allen Stevenson School of Excellence wants you to come spend the night with them at a socially distanced drive in movie night.
The drive in movie will be held at Lefty’s Alley and Eats in Lewes. The money raised will benefit the School of Excellence.  The two organizations teamed up to show Just Mercy, which is the movie based on Bryan Allen Stevenson’s Life. If you didn’t know, he’s the founder of the Equal Justice Initiative and he’s actually from Sussex County! The school of excellence is still slated to open in 2022, but in order to do that, they need support from community members.

“We are a 501(c)(3) organization, and a large portion of our budget comes from events and donations from community members,” Alonna Berry, the Founder of the school, said.

If you’re interested in buying a ticket for the drive in movie, you can do so at the school’s website or you can search the event on Event Brite. Tickets are $30 per car.
