ACME teams up with 47ABC for Delmarva Delivers Food Drive

SALISBURY, Md. – 47 ABC teamed up with local food banks to collect and distribute food to those in need for the Delmarva Delivers Food Drive. One of our sponsors is ACME markets.

When you check out at your local ACME, you can choose to donate right through their pin pad. Every penny counts, and donations can be as small as a dollar.

ACME tells 47ABC that fighting hunger is one of their top priorities as a supermarket. They also say that especially during these difficult times they wanted to find a way to help give back. “It was a perfect fit that Delmarva wanted to do this food drive. Especially these days with COVID-19 and the need for more nutritious food, it’s just a win-win for us and all of Delmarva really,” said Communications and Public Affairs Manager for ACME Markets Dana Ward.

ACME also says that they will be extending their part in the food drive. You can donate through November 25th and all proceeds will be donated.

If you’d like to help out in another way 47ABC is holding a donation event this Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at two locations. 47ABC’s Julian Sadur will be helping at Shorebird Stadium in Salisbury. Chief Meteorologist Daniel Johnson will be at Laurel Junction in Laurel Delaware. Simply drive up and a volunteer will take any donations from your car.
