Law Enforcement Appreciation Day to be held this Sunday in Felton

FELTON, Del. – A group of Delawareans is getting ready to hold a Law Enforcement Appreciation Day this Sunday to help raise money for the Delaware Law Enforcement Memorial, which was vandalized back in June.
The event will take place at Pizzadili Vineyard & Winery in Felton.
Organizers say the money raised will help with the repair and maintenance of the memorial. They say people will get the chance to enjoy delicious food and there will also be silent auctions, raffles, and much more at the event.
A small memorial service will be held as well to honor the fallen law enforcement officers listed on the memorial.
“A lot of us were really, really, truly upset when that was damaged,” said Susanne Whitney, president of the organization A Walk in their Shoes.
“We held a rally shortly after that to show our support and we decided to do this event it just seemed like the perfect thing to raise money for,” said Whitney.
If you’re interested in making a donation you’re encouraged to reach out to Susanne Whitney through the Facebook page called A Walk in their Shoes. Click here for previous coverage on the memorial.
The event begins at 11 AM.
