Doggone Happy Animal Rescue’s adoption event making a come back next weekend

SUSSEX COUNTY, Del.– An animal rescue will be having their first animal adoption event in months after the coronaviurs pandemic hit.

Doggone Happy Animal Rescue said COVID-19 made getting dogs fostered very difficult because they couldn’t just meet with potential adopters the same way.

We’re told the stay-at-home order and COVID-19 restrictions didn’t allow them to have their monthly events that gave people time to meet dogs.

So, that’s why they said this upcoming event is important to get the dogs the exposure they need.

“When people can come to a location to meet dogs at an event it makes a huge difference, and everybody now is dying to get out because everybody’s been cooped up for so long,” Dawn Mitchell
Founder of Doggone Happy Animal Rescue, said.

We are told the event will take place next Saturday and Sunday at the Georgetown PetValu.

On Saturday the event will go from 12 to 3.

Sunday it will be held from 1 to 4.
