Delaware’s U.S. Sen. Chris Coons highlights priorities if re-elected

DELAWARE – With Delaware’s primary set for Tuesday, 47 ABC is highlighting the candidates running for United States Senate including incumbent Democrat Senator Chris Coons.

Coons says his priorities include securing affordable quality health care, improving education and making the country more secure. The Senator says if he is re-elected, he will focus on recovering from the pandemic and the impact that it’s had on the economy. He also wants to address racial justice and inequality issues as well as climate change.

“As the lowest lying mean elevation state in America, we’re already beginning to see the impacts of rising sea levels and of the changing climate. I’ve launched the bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus and I’m really optimistic we’re going to make progress on that in the coming year,” says Delaware’s United States Senator Chris Coons.
