Wicomico County Council to hold special meeting on selecting a new county exec

SALISBURY, Md. — The Wicomico County Council is holding a special meeting to discuss the next steps in selecting a new County Executive on Friday, August 28th.

This moves comes after Salisbury cardiologist, Dr. Rene Desmarais declined the appointment in a statement released on Monday.

We’re told the meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. in room 301 in the Government Office Building, in Salisbury. Officials say the public is invited to view the meeting in-person or via livestream on PAC14.

Due to the pandemic, there will be limited seating in the council chambers to allow for social distancing.
