Dover home damaged by gunfire, police investigating

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police say they are investigating a shooting incident that happened early Tuesday morning in the 400 block of East Water Street.

Police say the incident happened at around 3 a.m., however, it was not reported until shortly after 1 p.m. that day. The victim reported that she heard what she believed were fireworks between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. that morning but did not see anyone outside of the home. Several hours later, she discovered that her home had been damaged, and notified police.
