Trimper’s Rides of Ocean City unveils new 150-foot ferris wheel

OCEAN CITY, Md. – On Saturday, people in Ocean City came together to celebrate the newest attraction at Trimper’s Rides called The Inlet Eye.

Residents and visitors as well as state and local officials celebrated with a ribbon-cutting.

Officials say The Inlet Eye stands inches shy of 150 feet in the air giving guests a never-before view of Ocean City, Assateague Island and even Fenwick Island.

The celebration included live music and giveaways.

The first 126 guests also got a chance to ride The Inlet Eye for free as part of the celebration and we’re told this new attraction is something to be excited about.

“We haven’t had a new ride in five years, so it’s very truly exciting to bring not just a new attraction but to bring something of this caliber to the state of Maryland,” said Trimper’s Rides of Ocean City President Antoinette Bruno.

Trimper’s Rides says The Inlet Eye traveled more than 1,000 miles on 12 tractor-trailers to get to Ocean City.

Tickets are 10 dollars for adults and 6 dollars for children under 12.
