Recovery Resource Center reopening with limited capacity
SALISBURY, Md. – The Recovery Resource Center is reopening in Salisbury this week and officials say they’re excited to once again offer in-person services like meeting spaces.
Every week, 39 different groups use the center as a meeting space including Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and Gamblers Anonymous. The executive director for the center tells 47 ABC, people have been able to participate in virtual meetings over the past three months but many participants have said the in-person meetings are much more beneficial.
“The support group is one of the most important parts of recovery. It’s good to have a strong support network to lean on when you may be having a craving or experiencing distress or some sort of trigger in your life,” says Curtis Paul, the executive director for the Recovery Resource Center.
The center is reopening at 50 percent capacity so there will be a limited number of spaces available and participants will be let in on a first come first serve basis. The center is located at 726 South Salisbury Boulevard.
