Peninsula Regional Medical Center honors their healthcare heroes with parade

SALISBURY, Md. – Healthcare heros at Peninsula Regional Medical Center were honored with a parade today. The Healthcare Heroes parade was organized by the hospital’s Operation We Care team. The parade started at the Red Door Sub Shop in Salisbury – and was escorted by the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office.

Supporters of healthcare workers got to watch the parade – as well as kids from the hospital’s child care program. Chief Operating Officer Cindy Lunsford says the workers deserve all the recognition they can get. “I think to have folks from the outside recognize and want to reward our folks is really meaningful. So we appreciate the show of support,” said Lunsford.

PRMC is also collecting thank you cards and donations to help support their staff. They’re also taking video messages and signs from people who want to show their support. If you’d like to donate and support these healthcare heroes – you can visit their website.
