Man arrested after allegedly shooting stepfather in foot with pellet gun


SEAFORD, Del. – A New York man is facing charges as police say he was arrested in Seaford on Friday night after shooting his stepfather in the foot with a pellet gun.

Police say on Friday night around 8:15, they responded to Rocky Road for a domestic incident. Once there, police learned that 40-year-old Shane Sewsaud was allegedly drunk and shot his 69-year-old stepfather in the foot with a pellet gun.

A neighbor then tried to help the victim. and that’s when police say Sewsaud began arguing with the neighbor and threatened to kill him.

Sewsaud was arrested and now faces charges that include assault of the second degree and terroristic threatening.
