Millsboro crash sends three people to hospital

MILLSBORO, Del. — Delaware State Police are currently investigating a car crash that sent 3 people to the hospital.

Police say around 2:20 PM, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company, Sussex County Paramedics and State Police responded to reports of a car accident with people trapped inside on Oak Orchard Road, just north of Chief’s Road in the area of the Tidewater building.

Rescue 80 arrived on the scene and began working to remove the door form the ford pickup truck. Two of the passengers were able to remove themselves from the truck, but the driver required door removal and EMS intervention, to be removed. All 3 passengers were sent to local hospitals, with one being flown.

Delaware State Fire Police kept Oak Orchard Rd closed until the scene could was cleared. As of now the conditions of the three men are unknown.

The crash is still under investigation.
