Beebe Healthcare & The Blood Bank of Delmarva will be hosting blood drives throughout the month of June

SUSSEX CO., Del. — In partnership with the Blood Bank of Delmarva, Beebe Healthcare will be hosting at least two blood drives on its campuses this summer.

The first blood drive will take place on Monday, June 15th at the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing. Beebe’s second blood drive will be held on July 31st at the Rehoboth Health Campus off of Route 24.

We’re told supplies have dwindled during the pandemic. Health officials say normally, a 7-day inventory of all blood types must be continually replenished. But according to the blood bank, those reserves are below that minimum.

Health officials encourage the public to not only donate, but to donate regularly as it helps save lives.

If you can’t donate this month, you can call 1-888-8-BLOOD-8 for more opportunities to donate throughout Sussex County.
