UPDATE: 14-year-old charged in connection to arson at Phillis Wheatley Elementary School

BRIDGEVILLE, Del. – Delaware State Fire Marshals say a 14-year-old has been charged in connection to an arson that damaged a maintenance and storage structure at Phillis Wheatley Elementary School late last month.

The incident happened shortly after 7 p.m. on April 30th. On Wednesday, state fire marshal deputies arrested a 14-year-old male, charging him with second degree arson, third degree burglary, second degree criminal trespassing, and criminal mischief. We’re told the teen was released to a parent pending a Family Court bond hearing.
