Talbot chef donating meals to unemployed hospitality workers

TALBOT CO., Md. – A chef and business owner in Talbot County is donating meals to hospitality workers who were recently laid off due to the coronavirus.

Jordan Lloyd, chef and owner of the Bartlett Pear Inn, started the organization called Family Meal in Talbot County. He tells 47 ABC families will have to place orders through their Facebook Page by Friday night. The meals will be prepared over the weekend and ready to pick up at the Easton Inn on Monday afternoon. Lloyd says he’s trying to do whatever he can to support the community.

“I didn’t want to look back a few months down the road and look back on this situation and feel like I didn’t do as much as I could’ve to help my people. So that really got it started in my heart that I wanted to feed as many people as I could in need,” says Lloyd.

Lloyd says they already have more than 50 people signed up. The organization is also accepting donations.
