Open For Business: Goin’ Nuts Cafe

SALISBURY, Md. – Goin’ Nuts Cafe has been a Salisbury staple for 28 years, and they want their customers to know that they’re still open for business. After almost three decades, the restaurant is known for making customers feel like family. “It was very unusual for someone to walk in the door and before they sat down the bartender or barmaid not recognize them, not to know what they’re drinking before they ever sat down,” said owner Russ Horne.

Three years ago 47ABC visited Goin’ Nuts Cafe for Foodie Friday to get a taste of what their menu had to offer. Customers told 47ABC that the reason they’re so loyal is because they could always have old favorites, or try something new from their menu that boasts dozens of items. But recently, Horne says business hasn’t been easy with Governor Larry Hogan’s order for all restaurants to shut down dine-in service. “Any business is dependent on their customers after 28 years. We have a very loyal following and they’re seemingly just as lost as we are because they don’t have their favorite place to go,” said Horne.

Horne says he wants his devoted customers to know that their support is much appreciated, whether they’re at their favorite place, or taking food back to their own homes. “Whether they’re coming for carry out or not, you know, we love all our customers and we’ve had so many calls, so many well wishers. You know, it’s tremendous to know how many people you’ve impacted,” said Horne.

If you’d like to swing by to get some take out, Goin’ Nuts Cafe is open Tuesday to Saturday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. You can check out the menu on their website.
