Four additional positive coronavirus cases announced by Del. Department of Correction

DOVER, Del. – The Delaware Department of Correction is announcing four additional positive coronavirus cases.

Two of the cases involve inmates at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center who were living in the same housing unit as the first two positive inmate cases. One is being treated in the prison infirmary, while the other was admitted for further evaluation and treatment, but is in stable condition.

In addition, a Probation and Parole Officer assigned to the Sussex Community Corrections Center in Georgetown has tested positive. The officer was last at the facility one week ago on April 3rd, and began self-isolating at home when flu-like symptoms began.

The fourth is a Correctional Officer, also assigned to the Sussex Community Corrections Center. This officer was last at the facility on April 1st and began self-isolating at home after the onset of flu-like symptoms.
