Decatur Diner teams up with Ocean Games to feed those in need

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Workers at a local restaurant are doing what they can to help feed seniors and people working on the front lines. Decatur Diner teamed up with an Ocean City organization called Ocean Games to raise money for bagged lunches. Decatur Diner owner Bill Rados says they fed about a hundred staff members at a nursing home in Ocean City, seniors at The Cottages in Berlin, and local firefighters.

Over the next two weeks they’re planning to keep feeding seniors and first responders. Rados says the best part of it all – is sharing smiles. “Just to see the smiling faces and all the comments on the Facebook page. It just makes you feel much better you know, as to what’s going on now. You really can’t help yourself. You just wake up and hope for the best, do the best that you can and keep smiling,” said Rados.

Rados says the bags are packed with a sandwich, granola bar, an apple, chips, and a bottle of water. He also says he encourages anyone who’s in need of a bagged lunch to reach out to him, and his diner will do what they can to help.
