A group in Millsboro serves 400 meals to families in need on Thursdays

MILLSBORO, Del.- One group and the Indian River School District are partnering up to serve 400 meals to needy families.

Absolutely Flawless Women Incorporated and the school district hosted a drive-thru food pick-up event at Refreshing International Ministries.

Registered families received their home-cooked meals between 6 PM to 8 PM.

The group told us they’ve been cooking for the community for almost a month now, every Thursday.

Plus, they said giving out 200 to 400 meals each week means a lot, especially at a time when the supply of food is low.

“When people are going through a crisis they need to know that the community cares, that someone is there, so we’re here we’re letting them know you’re not alone and whatever they need we’re going to help you,” Leshell Dennis, Pastor of Refreshing International Ministries and a member of Absolutely Flawless Women Incorporated, said.

Absolutely Flawless Women INC. said with the need for food increasing each week they could use more funding.
