108 new COVID-19 cases announced in Delaware
SMYRNA, Del. – The Delaware Division of Public Health says an additional 108 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the state.
This number brings the state’s total to 3,308. Kent County has the fewest number of confirmed cases, with a total of 539, while Sussex has 1,377, and New Castle has 1,389.
Currently, 209 individuals are hospitalized, 65 of whom are critically ill.
In addition, three more people have died from complications of the virus. We’re told all three had underlying health conditions, and range in age from 74 to 85 years old. Two were New Castle County residents, and one was a Sussex County resident. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the state to 92.
To date, a total of 643 Delawareans have made a full recovery.
