UPDATE: Two arrested in connection to January home invasion

HARBESON, Del. – Delaware State Police have arrested two people in connection to a home invasion that happened back in January.

The incident happened during the evening hours on January 13th, at a residence in the 22000 block of Danfield Drive. Through investigation, police identified 37-year-old Robin Stephens and 30-year-old Heather Kenny as suspects in the incident.

On Wednesday, a vehicle was stopped on Avalon Road after an officer observed an equipment violation. Stephens and Kenny were passengers in the vehicle that was stopped, and Kenny initially gave a false name but was quickly identified.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of various items of drug paraphernalia. In addition, Kenny was found in possession of prescription pills without a prescription, approximately 0.441 grams of heroin, and drug paraphernalia.

Stephens was charged with first degree robbery, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, home invasion burglary first degree, two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, second degree assault, five counts of first degree reckless endanger, felony theft, second degree conspiracy, second degree reckless endangering, and criminal mischief. He was held at SCI on $184,000 secured bond.

Kenny was charged with first degree robbery, home invasion burglary first degree, second degree conspiracy, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of any prescription drug not a controlled substance without a prescription, criminal impersonation, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. She was held at the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $21,000.

The driver was issued a criminal summons for possession of drug paraphernalia and released.
