Somerset Co. Public School cancels out-of-state trips due to Coronavirus concerns

WESTOVER, Md. – Somerset County Public School officials announced on Tuesday that all out-of-state field trips for students, as well as out-of-state travel for staff, have been canceled until the threat of the Coronavirus subsides in our region.

This is a precautionary measure and comes after Governor Hogan recently announced the suspension of out-of-state travel for state employees.

School officials say the decision will be reevaluated at the end of March. School administration and staff will be contact with families as to whether or not the trips will be rescheduled for a later date. Families should contact their school with any questions.
