Lady Gulls pull thru for late win over Southern Virginia

SALISBURY, Md- The Salisbury women’s basketball team moved to 3-5 in CAC play, defeating Southern Virginia 53-45 on Saturday afternoon at Maggs Physical Activities Center in Salisbury.

Lauren Foretescue completed a three-point play with under a minute remaining to break a 45-45 tie and give Salisbury the lead for good. Fortescue was among three Gulls in double figures, with teammates Kaylee Otlowski (12 points, 10 rebounds) and Jada Welbon (12 points) also contributing majorly.

Katie Garrish led SVU with game-highs in points (18) and rebounds (21).
