Hearn and Cannon lift Cape in battle of Delaware powers

LEWES, Del. – The Cape Henlopen Vikings got big performances from Abby Hearn and Dania Cannon to sink the Conrad Red Wolves 58-53.

Both teams exchanged early jabs after Morgan Mahoney got things rolling by going 3-for-4 from the three-point line. Conrad battled back and kept it close headed into the halftime break.

Out of the break, Hearn caught fire from the field and three-point line to take over the game. Cannon was able to keep the Red Wolves’ defense on their toes by getting to the free-throw line frequently.

Hearn finished with 19 points, including a dagger three to put Cape up by as much as 12 points. Cannon finished with 18 points of her own.
