SWAC wants you to Jam with John & Friends this January

SALISBURY, Md. — The Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council wants you to join them this Friday for a night of fun, music, and scholarship opportunities.

47 ABC’s Deana Harley was joined on the desk by Therese Hamilton from the Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council, who was elated to tell us about the upcoming event.

Hamilton, executive director of SWAC, says that “January Jam with John & Friends” is a free event meant for students looking to further their education into college. The event is a scholarship kickoff, that gives insights on how upcoming college students can beat the competition at getting a scholarship.

She also tells us the night is also about fun and great music featuring John Adams and other great musicians. John is a six year recipient of the SWAC Scholarship. He attends Towson University and is a double major in music education and clarinet performance. Hamilton tells us that John has received many scholarships through SWAC. So you bet John and his clarinet will be there on Friday waiting for you!

The event is this Friday, January 10th from 6 PM to 8 PM at 110 West Church Street, Suite C, right here in Salisbury. The event is free, so come out for fun, good music and great information on how to bag a scholarship in the arts.

For more information about the event, you can call 410-543-ARTS or visit their website at www.GetSWAC.org.
