Gulls mow down Mary Washington, move to 2-0 in conference

SALISBURY, Md- The Salisbury men’s basketball team moved to 2-0 in the CAC, defeating Mary Washington 75-65 on Wednesday evening at Maggs Physical Activities Center in Salisbury.

Salisbury was led offensively by Gary Briddell’s 13 points, while starting guard Johnny Fierstein finished with 9 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists. Wednesday’s game was a total team effort for the Gulls, with six players contributing at least eight points. The Salisbury bench outscored UMW 37-14.

Salisbury (8-9) will look to pull to .500 overall on the season on Saturday, when they host St. Mary’s.
